GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

I have the honour to state that in May, 1911,
the Royal Hongkong Golf Club Lade application to this Government
for the lease, for purposes of Golf Links, of an area of Crown
Land in the neighbourhood of Fanling in the New Territories.

In February last the Club were granted a lease
of 88.85 acres of land subject to the following conditions:-
(a). The term of the lease to be at the will of His
Majesty the King, and subject to the good behaviour of the members
of the Club.
(b). The Club not to be disturbed in the tenancy except upon very strong public grounds. If they are so disturbed within
a period of ten years from the date of the lease a sum not exceed-
-ing $5,385.00 to be paid in respect of monies actually spent upon permanent improvements.
(c). Existing paths over the land to be kept open and a
right reserved to the Crown to make new paths or roads and carry
telephone or telegraph lines upon it.
Golf Club.
(d). The land to be used solely for the purposes of the
(e). No premium to be paid but rent to be charged at the
rate of ninety dollars annually after the expiration of the first
two years of the lease,
